Research In Action Grants
John Martinson Honors College’s “Research in Action” Grants are intended to support JMHC students in completing their Scholarly Projects. Priority will be given to funding requests that directly support the completion of a student’s Scholarly Project. Students in good standing may request up to $750 to support research-related expenses, including research travel, the purchase of research supplies, or research dissemination (e.g., participation in academic conferences). To be eligible, students must have a faculty-mentored research or creative arts project that qualifies as a Scholarly Project. Students do not need to have an approved Scholarly Project proposal at the time of application.
Students may request reimbursement for expenses already incurred; however, funding for previously incurred expenses is not guaranteed. Students with questions about “Research in Action” Grants may contact the Director of Undergraduate Research, Dr. Chaonan Liu, at liu2313@purdue.edu.

The 2026–2027 Research in Action Grant application is open September 10, 2026–March 20, 2027, or until all available funds are allocated, whichever comes first.
