What it means to be an affiliate
All HEAL affiliates will be onboarded at the LPRC at the beginning of each semester and will receive all communications regarding idea generation and professional development activities, research opportunities, and other news of relevance to this community of practice.
- All new affiliates will join HEAL at Level 1
- The LPRC will approve participation at each of the two levels
Affiliate Levels
Level 1 Affiliate - A student who participates in at least two activities per semester programmed under the idea generation and professional development initiatives. Students can remain at this level for as many semesters as desired.
- Participation per semester in less than two of the activities mentioned above will result in loss of level 1 affiliation; the student will be offboarded from LPRC, and all communications will stop.
Level 2 Affiliate – A student who (1) has completed the requirements for level 1 affiliation, (2) is conducting research under the supervision of a faculty affiliate and (3) participates in at least one activity per semester under the idea generation and professional development initiatives.
- Students are responsible for applying to the research opportunities shared with all HEAL affiliates throughout the semester.
- Research opportunities exclusive to HEAL affiliates will require for the candidates to be in good standing of their affiliation status at the time of student selection – level 1 affiliates should have completed a minimum of two activities and level 2 affiliates should have completed a minimum of one activity.
