Phi Kappa Phi

Phi Kappa Phi is more than a line on a resume. As the nation’s oldest and most selective multidisciplinary collegiate honorary society, it initiates more than 30,000 members a year on 300 campuses in the United States and the Philippines. More than 1.5 million members have joined its ranks since Phi Kappa Phi’s founding in 1897. Purdue University is in the process of reinvigorating its Phi Kappa Phi chapter. Selection Criteria: Phi Kappa Phi membership is earned. Admission is invitation-only and requires nomination approval by a chapter. Requirements include:

• Juniors must have completed at least 72 credit hours, with at least 24 semester hours at their current institution, and rank in the top 7.5 percent of their class.
• Seniors must have completed at least 90 credit hours, with at least 24 semester hours at their current institution, and rank in the top 10 percent of their class.
• Graduate students must have completed at least 18 graduate hours or the equivalent at their institution and rank in the top 10 percent of their class.
• Faculty, professional staff and alumni who achieve scholarly distinction may also be eligible.
