Biography
Dr. Hossein Mousazadeh is a passionate Postdoctoral Research Assistant at Purdue University Honors College, Community and Well-Being Learning Collaborative, specializing in Community Development, Tourism Management, Happiness & Well Being, and Sustainable Development. Driven by a profound passion for academia, he has amassed a comprehensive research portfolio spanning diverse domains. With a fervent commitment to creating a positive impact and fostering community development, he is deeply committed to pioneering innovative solutions that promote sustainability and enhance the quality of life and well-being.
He actively engages in the Honors College, teaching Happiness course, serving as a mentor for students on Community-Based Research Projects and the Blue Sky Summer Scholars Program. He was also a part of the Purdue Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (OIGP) and served as a judge at the Spring Undergraduate Research Conference at Purdue University.
Hossein serves as an editor and reviewer for many journals, including Community Development (Taylor & Francis), International Journal of Community Well-Being (Springer), International Journal of Happiness and Development, Tourism & Management Studies (Scopus), City, Culture and Society (Elsevier), and Cogent Social Sciences (Taylor & Francis). Additionally, he has served as a speaker and presenter at many international conferences and held the session chair position at the 7th World Research Summit for Hospitality and Tourism in Florida and the Community Development Society (CDS) Annual Conference in Omaha, United States. Hossein was recognized in the "ISQOLS Member Spotlight" by the International Society for Quality-of-Life Studies (ISQOLS).
Hossein enjoys playing soccer and volleyball, cooking Persian foods, and making Persian tea with his wife, Farah. His slogan is "Live and Learn."
