Participate in a 5 minute elevator pitch to get feedback from Executive in Residence Art Norins, Founder of Nor1, Inc. and Sandium, Inc. Mr. Norins is a proven entrepreneur, who has successfully built businesses from concept to reality. Don't miss this opportunity to refine your future plans. All ideas are welcome. Challengers can participate alone or in a team and will be served dinner after the challenge.

Join us in meeting UR Executive in Residence Art Norins on Friday for a welcome reception in Vawter Hall. Then on Tuesday, join him at a special Torch Tuesday at noon in Wiley Dining Court, and for the farewell reception in Vawter Hall.

Academic Adventures: Theatre Night - As You Like It
Fri. Nov. 20, 7pm (meet in the Shreve Lobby)
Join Dr. Jason Ware to view the play As You Like It during this Academic Adventure. A light-hearted comedy, As You Like It depicts the perils of court versus the pleasure of the forest and the delights and deceptions of love. Meet in the Shreve Hall lobby to walk over to the show. Ten tickets available.

It's time to focus in and think through your academic and extra-curricular trajectories, including how competitive scholarships and grants fit into the plan. Activities and discussions on building relationships with faculty, leadership, and creating long-term goals are the goals. Open to sophomores (according to graduation year, not credit hours). Food provided.

Every Monday & Thursday
from 7:30-9pm Homework help is now available through the Beering study tables! Peers and upperclassmen will be in the URSC large conference room, C107, every Monday and Thursday evening from 7:30-9:00pm to try to answer any questions you may have in your classes. Monday focuses on engineering and Thursday focuses on math and other sciences, but feel free to bring any sorts of questions. Free and informal, the Beering Scholars would love to see you! |

HIV AIDS Awareness Week
All this week
Visit the annual display of panels from the AIDS Memorial Quilt in PMU 118 that include names specifically from the Purdue and Indiana area all week. Listen to a lecture by Dr. Mangala Subramaniam on Tuesday, on Wednesday view the film How to Survive a Plague, participate in workshops on Thursday, and take part in free confidential HIV testing.
